FAQs

What machines do you use?

I use Pro Chem Steampro Powermax with internal “whisper quiet” silencer.

What stain treatments do you use?

Urine neutraliser – Neutralises odour from urine deposits on carpets and prevents staining.

Red RX – For food and drink that contains red dye, including red wine, carbonated drinks and fruit juices.

Solvent Spotter – This is good for paint, ink and makeup but reacts to bitumen that is present in carpet tiles so not recommended to them.

Clensan – Good for removal of dairy products.

Stain Pro – Good for use on blood, vomit and general food and drink.

Coffee and Tea Stain Remover – Good for dark drinks and discolouration

Multi Pro and High Traffic Areas – This is sprayed on pre-fibre machine clean to help release the soil, making it easier to extract the dirt.

Citrus Gel – Good for gum, tar and oily stains.

*Please note that we cannot guarantee to remove stains due to the varied types and age of carpets.

How often should I clean my carpets?

For general carpet cleaning in residential homes I advise that you have them cleaned every 12 months. If your household has people with allergies or other health issues then we recommend every six months.

If you high volume “traffic” areas in your household we recommend every three months. Carpets absorb many different particles that are often brought in from outside. These are removed with a high-pressure extraction machine.

How do I make a payment?

We accept bank transfers or cash on the day after satisfactory completion of the job. Unless agreed before hand payments must be made on the day.

I live in a flat on the top floor will that be a problem?

I have various sized machines to suit every type of job and am able to access all properties.

Can you guarantee removing all types of stain?

If you have tried to remove stains with shop bought stain removers or if the stain is an old stain then there is no guarantee that we will be able to remove the stain.

Can you remove pet hair and odour?

The hot water extraction machine I use will remove most of your pet hair. I advise you vacuum your carpets on a regular basis to avoid build up. My pet odour treatment will leave your carpets smelling lovely and fresh.

How long do my carpets take to dry?

This depends on the circulation of air in the property and weather conditions. The suction is very powerful on my machines so your carpets should be dry after a few hours. We recommend in the colder months that household heating is turned on to speed the drying process up.

Can you Scotch Guard my carpets?

I can apply a protective coating as an option to protect your carpets. This adds a moisture resistant barrier to each individual carpet fibre. If you spill anything on your carpets, this means the moisture will not immediately be absorbed giving you more time to clean the stain.

Is stain protector and conditioner included in the price?

The price quoted will be for deep fibre carpet cleaning and stain treatment. A stain protector coating on your carpets helps reduce the wear and tear and keeps them looking better and fresher for longer.

Unless requested this can’t be carried out on the day.
